During all three days of the Festival, attendees have the opportunity to place written bids ("silent") for two beautiful new guitars.
The two winning bids will be announced at intermission of the Roland Dyens concert on Sunday evening.
The winners will also receive concert tickets to the 2017 Festival!
We will have a classical guitar and a travel/practice guitar available for bids.
Hill Guitar Company has generously donated this New World Ported Player 650S.
The New World Player has been the flagship, all solid, classical guitar model in the Hill Guitar import line. Having established sound ports as a significant innovation in domestic Hill Guitars, they are now an optional feature available for the Player models. Once you play and hear how sound ports increase your ability to hear the guitar, as well as increased projection, you will doubtless agree: sound ports create a profound addition to your playing experience! www.neworldguitar.com

Travel & Practice Guitar:
Trilogy Guitars has donated this unique travel guitar; the Soloette Classic Maple:
SoloEtte guitars travel all over the surface of the Planet, and beyond* and experience various extremes of humidity and temperature.
The SoloEtte is a solid-construction, disassembling frame-design, travel, practice, & performance guitar.
It plugs directly into stereo headphones or standard amplification equipment.
The frame comes apart and fits into a small carrying case.
The features of silent practice and portability, combined with the amplification capabilities provide a bright new innovative concept for the serious musician.
With the volume and tone controls you can adjust the output to be compatible with all headphones, and play through any mic input or CD input on "boomboxes", car stereos, Karaoke machines, etc. Plug into computer speakers, guitar amplifiers and sound systems and control your own tone and volume.
* On November 12, 1995 the Space Shuttle Atlantis carried a SoloEtte guitar to space and presented it as a gift to the Russian Cosmonauts aboard the MIR Space Station:
